England appoints Tuchel as head coach, to start work on January 1st next year
The Football Association (FA) officially announced the appointment of German coach Thomas Tuchel as the new manager on October 16, with a contract until the 2026 World Cup.
Tuchel said: “It is an honour to be in charge of the ทางเข้า ufabet https://ufabet999.app England team. I have had a long association with the country’s footballing game. It has given me some incredible moments. It is very special to be in this role and to work with such special and talented players is very exciting.”
The FA revealed that Tuchel had signed a contract to take charge of the England national team on October 8. Before the Three Lions played in UEFA Nations League matches against Greece and Finland. But the announcement was delayed to avoid any disruption to the tournament.
Tuchel will start on January 1, 2024, with caretaker manager Lee Carsley in charge until December 31, as per the contract signed.
For Tuchel, he is familiar with English football having been in charge of Chelsea from July 2021 to September 2022. Where he led the team to the Champions League. As well as the Club World Cup and UEFA Super Cup before being sacked.
Earlier in June, he was reported to be one of the options to become Manchester United’s new manager. But he rejected the offer before United decided to give Erik ten Hag a chance to continue his job.
